Jing Yue, a wonderful book, was discovered, but it disappeared because of some accident.

Jing Yue, a long-lost vocal classic in China, was accidentally discovered by expert Shao during the Republic of China, which caused a wide discussion in academic circles for a time. Later, Shao's experts prepared to print Jing Yue, but they didn't expect to encounter an accident, which led to the loss of Jing Yue again. What the hell is going on here?

Speaking of ancient classics, people all know the "Four Books and Five Classics", but in fact this is not comprehensive, because besides the familiar "Five Classics", there is also a sixth classic-Jing Yue, who studies ancient vocal music classics, so it should be called "Four Books and Six Classics", which is often said that "Confucius deleted poetry books, collected music and became six classics, which is the source of China culture"

After research, experts speculate that Jing Yue was burned to death by Qin Shihuang, because in 2 13 BC, an incident of "burning books to bury Confucianism" occurred, which was a cultural catastrophe launched by Qin Shihuang to safeguard his ruling authority. "By the end of the Qin Dynasty, poetry and books were burned and six arts were lacking" (Sima Qian's Historical Records), so experts doubted it.

By 1936, more than two thousand years had passed since Jing Yue was destroyed. In June 5438+10, an expert named Shao revised the county annals in Xunyi County, Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. He got a secret document from Xiao Zhibao, a local scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. According to the old scholar, this is the long-lost relic of Jing Yue. But at first he wasn't sure if it was Jing Yue. After all, more than 2000 years passed, and he was not sure until the old scholar told him the story.

The old scholar told Shao experts that there was a big family in Zhidao Village, Xunyi County in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and the eldest son was named Xiong Ying. When Xiong Ying was sixteen years old, one day after the rain, he went for a walk in the ancient temple outside the village, and found that the temple was already in ruins, and it was also drenched by the rain. When he was about to leave, he accidentally saw a pile of bamboo slips scattered around the corner, some of which were soaked by rain. Xiong Ying is interested in bamboo slips, because he reads a lot of poetry books on weekdays, so he picks them up and takes them home for collection.

All the bamboo slips that Xiong Ying picked up home were written with words, but the fonts were all tadpole-shaped, so he couldn't tell for a moment. More than 20 years later, Xiong Ying became famous. One day, he happened to think of the bamboo slips he picked up as a teenager, so he found them all to study. After three years' arrangement, Xiong Ying found out that it was a long-lost Jing Yue, so he went to heaven to add notes and compiled a book, which was also mentioned in Xunyi County Records, which shows that what the scholar said is true.

In the next two hundred years, affected by the war, all the bamboo slips of Xiong Ying were lost, and most of the Jing Yue he compiled was destroyed. Fortunately, Xiong Ying's descendants also collected a part of Jing Yue. In order to better preserve Jing Yue, he gave it to Xiao Zhibao, a close friend and cultural scholar at that time. When Xiao Zhibao got Jing Yue, after some research, it must be Jing Yue, so he kept it as his lifeblood.

Xiao Zhibao is old. In order to survive, he found a successor, the Shao expert mentioned above. According to expert Shao's later recollection, Xiao Zhibao gave him three volumes of Jing Yue, each of which was about 100 pages. After identification, it is indeed the paper of the Ming Dynasty, with a preface written by Xiong Ying at the beginning. Shao expert was very excited after getting it, and soon prepared to copy it, and kept the original properly, and also published the news in the newspaper.

As soon as the news came out, it caused extensive discussion in the academic circles and was called a major event in the cultural circles in the past two thousand years. However, something unexpected happened. Just as Shao experts were preparing to publish Jing Yue, something happened in Ann. Soon after, Shao experts were double-regulated. Although Shao experts were safe and sound in the end, there was no news of publication, but the most terrible thing was that the three original editions disappeared, just like disappearing out of thin air, and there was no news from now on. Who took the book of music?

Later, experts also had many speculations about Jing Yue's whereabouts. For example, it was destroyed by a soldier who didn't know the goods in the coup, but this statement doesn't hold water, because Shao experts regard it as life, and it must be extremely hidden and impossible to be discovered. Some experts speculate that it is still in the hands of Shao's descendants, or lost by them, or secretly collected by them, but it is all speculation, which makes people feel extremely sorry.

It is worth mentioning that in 20 18, on the basis of "China Classical Digital Project", China archaeologists used big data intelligent retrieval to restore part of Jing Yue's contents and published the book "Jing Yue Ji", which is also a kind of compensation.
