Anqing Teachers College, formerly known as Jingfu Academy in Qing Dynasty, was founded in 1980 and was a national Anhui University in the Republic of China. Anqing University, which is under construction, is a comprehensive university with an Institute of Ancient Books, which specializes in the study of China ancient literature.
