(1) First, open the word document to be referenced, click where you want to add references, then click the References tab, and click footnotes and endnotes.
The Footnote and Endnote Settings box will pop up. Check the endnotes, check the square bracket style of the format, apply the changed settings to the whole document, and then click Insert to insert a superscript "[1]" here, which is where the first reference is entered.
(2) However, it should be noted that references are sorted by themselves-they cannot be numbered manually. After importing the reference, select the reference, click Start-Numbering-to define a new numbering format, manually add the English symbol "[]" to "[1]", and then select the reference.
(3) Insert control, that is, select Insert-Control at the position where the cited document needs to be inserted, and select the document to be inserted. You can insert documents step by step. Then click Start-superscript on the "[1]" of the reference, and a standard reference format will come out.
