The origin of auction
Auction companies originated in Renaissance London, England, but the earliest auction did not originate in Babylon, Cuba. After the middle of the eighteenth century, a large number of auction companies appeared in Britain, and Sotheby's, which we are all familiar with, was first translated into Sotheby's. Auction originated from ancient slave society and is a patent of eastern countries. Auction in human history was first seen in the written records of the confrontation between Herodotus, a famous ancient Greek historian, and Babylon around 500 BC.
