The library has more than 654.38+2500 paper documents, 2 electronic documents, and the archives has more than 23,000 files of the whole school. In the paper literature collection, there are more than 600,000 Chinese books, more than 200,000 foreign books, more than 60,000 Mongolian books, more than 230,000 bound volumes of Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals, and more than 0/10000 online ancient books. The literature collection has distinct national and regional characteristics, mainly focusing on Mongolian studies and life sciences. The Mongolian Literature Information Center of the Ethnic Discipline of the Ministry of Education is one of the 16 national literature information centers directly under the Ministry of Education. It is an important Mongolian literature base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and China, with more than 30,000 volumes (pieces) of Mongolian literature in various languages and types. Among them, the ancient Mongolian books in Qing Dynasty, Zhuzi Woodcut, Mongolian Imperial Ganzhur Sutra, Toth Mongolian Bamboo Manuscript in Qing Dynasty, The Journey to the West, timur Gong Ji 172 1 Paris Edition, La Shi Ding 1836 Paris French Edition are rare treasures of Mongolian literature. The Foreign Language Literature Center of Colleges and Universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is supported by special funds from the Education Department of the Autonomous Region, which provides original foreign language literature services for 27 colleges and universities in the region. The Life Science Literature Information Center of Inner Mongolia University features the disciplines of ecology and agriculture, animal reproduction biology and biotechnology, microbiology and genetic engineering. The series of documents of Sikuquanshu is also quite rich, including important documents and related documents such as Taiwan Province Wenyuange Edition Sikuquanshu, Taiwan Province Edition Sikuquanshu Essentials, and Sikuquanshu Catalogue Series.
In order to give full play to the role of the library of Inner Mongolia University in the central library of the autonomous region, the Inner Mongolia Higher Education Document Guarantee System (NALIS) was established at the suggestion of Dr. alatan Cang, director of the library of Inner Mongolia University, and approved by the Inner Mongolia Education Department. Its main task is to speed up the construction of regional document service center through the digital construction of information service network and document information resources of Inner Mongolia University, and with the support of CALIS center construction funds, and initially realize the functions of public retrieval, interlibrary loan, document delivery, collaborative procurement and online cooperative cataloging. On the system, the basic framework of the literature guarantee service system of higher education in Inner Mongolia is constructed to provide information guarantee services for universities and society in the autonomous region in an all-round way. The website of the center has been opened on the website of the library. As the document information center of the school and an academic institution serving for teaching and scientific research, the library has successfully completed 13 items of literature research and scientific research achievements such as the Catalogue of Mongolian Ancient Books in China in the past five years, and there are 12 items of "Computer Management Integrated System of Mongolian Documents" and "CD-ROM of Mongolian Bibliography Database" under development, which exceeds the sum of the previous 40 years. Among them, the Catalogue of Mongolian Ancient Books in China 1997 was designated as the core project of IFLA to promote the librarianship in developing countries, and won the first prize of outstanding achievements in social sciences in the autonomous region in 2000.
