1. The original meaning of Shao is the name of an ancient town. In ancient times, Shao and Zhao were common. Shao summoned himself. The original meaning of summoning is to entertain guests with meat and wine.
2. Origin: Zhao Kanggong, a minister in the early Zhou Dynasty, had the surname Ji. He was called Zhao Gong or Zhao Bo because he lived in Zhao (today's Fengxiang, Shaanxi Province). After King Wu of Zhou destroyed the Shang Dynasty, he moved the state of Zhao to Zhaoting in the west of Jiyuan, Henan. Later, the eldest son of Duke Zhao was transferred to the Northern Yan Kingdom, the second son who stayed in Jiyuan was still called Duke of Zhao, and the third son moved south to Nanzhao, Henan. During the Warring States Period, the Zhao family, who lived in Runan and Anyang in today's Henan Province, added Yi next to the word Zhao to avoid trouble, forming the Shao family. Yinzhao and Shao were originally the same surname and were commonly used in ancient times. Most of the characters who appeared in ancient books in the Han Dynasty and before were of the Zhao family, and from the Three Kingdoms onwards, they were of the Shao family.
