The emblem of Guangzhou 20 10 Asian Paralympic Games is based on Guangzhou Xiguan Flower Window. Xiguan Flower Window originated in the northeast of China and was introduced to Guangzhou in the17th century. Window paper adopts colored glass imported from the west to adapt to the climate in Lingnan. Later, it was widely adopted by xiguan big house, a Guangzhou residence, and became one of the representative architectural styles in Lingnan. Therefore, Xiguan Flower Window symbolizes the compatibility and openness of Lingnan culture, is the product of cultural integration, and has strong regional cultural characteristics. The emblem pattern uses the three primary colors of red, green and blue used in the emblem of the International Paralympic Committee to spell out the human figure of sports, symbolizing the struggle and self-realization of disabled athletes in the Guangzhou Asian Paralympic Games. The emblem looks like a window. The window represents the family, which means that disabled athletes and disabled people can feel the warmth of the family in Guangzhou. Fenfen, the mascot of Guangzhou Asian Paralympic Games, is a blooming kapok with distinctive regional characteristics. Kapok is regarded as a hero flower, with the spirit of striving for progress, symbolizing the continuous progress of the Paralympic Games and the cause of the disabled. "Fenfen" means the fragrance of flowers, which is pleasant and lovely. Five dancing petals and a bright smiling face reflect the joy of the participants and the enthusiasm of the host. Stretch, sunshine and healthy sports modeling symbolize the paralympic concept that the spirit lies in sports. "Fenfen" is the homonym of English Funfun, which embodies the core value of the Asian Paralympic Games, and implies that friends from all Asian countries will share the enthusiasm of Guangzhou, the passion of sports and the joy of the grand event by participating in the Asian Paralympic Games, and the disabled and the able-bodied will enjoy the fruits of human civilization and progress.
