Why are ancient pillows made of porcelain?

There were two kinds of pillows in ancient times. One is a soft pillow, made of silk or soft cloth. The other is a hard pillow. At first, hard pillows were made of wood. Later, there was a jade pillow, which extended to the well-known ceramic pillow. So why are most pillows made of ceramics? In my opinion, there are several reasons:

First, sex is costly. Although the wooden pillow is good, it is easy to rot when wet, and the jade pillow is comfortable, but expensive, including the silk with soft pillow, which is not affordable for ordinary people. Then the ceramic ones are different. If you have nothing to do, just pull a stove and burn one, or go out and buy one. Ordinary people can afford it if it's not expensive.

Second, there are many styles. There are many styles of ceramic pillows, and the decorative patterns on them can be chosen at will, which is more interesting. Moreover, this kind of pillow can be produced in large quantities, which saves a lot of manpower and material resources compared with cloth pillows.

Third, shaping and health. The ancients paid attention to standing, sitting and playing around without permission. Although ceramic pillows are hard, long-term use can effectively avoid hunchback, and it is also good for cervical vertebrae, so we can see that ancient people are not only straight, but also have fewer cervical spondylosis.

Fourth, cool. In ancient times, unlike now, in summer, when air-conditioning fans were on, we could only find ways to cool down. Ceramic pillows were a good way to cool down. In hot summer, I put a ceramic pillow on my pillow, which makes me feel cool and easy to fall asleep at night. Then add a cushion in winter and you can continue to use it.

Hard-working and wise ancestors always invented all kinds of practical things, which not only facilitated themselves, but also facilitated future generations. Ceramic pillows can be said to condense the wisdom essence of ancient people. They have experienced the precipitation of time and become more and more dazzling in the long river of history.
