When Emperor Donghua finally found his mother and rescued her, he found himself inadvertently letting eight million evil spirits escape from the underworld. The Emperor of Heaven was furious, but because of the face of the Queen Mother of the West, he decided to be reincarnated as Emperor Donghua and go to the mortal world to appease the eight million evil spirits who had already let go. Legend has it that the reincarnation of Emperor Donghua was Huang Chao, the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Tang Dynasty.
