In the fourth year of Qianlong (A.D. 1739), Emperor Qianlong wrote a letter to compile medical books and appointed Janice and Liu Yuduo as editors-in-chief. As the editor-in-chief, Janice made an important contribution to the compilation of Medical Zong Jin Jian. Janice believes that there are some problems in medical codes and various medical books in past dynasties, such as obscure words, incorrect transmission, or erudite but not precise, or miscellaneous but different, which should be corrected and annotated to distinguish right from wrong.
Janice advocated Zhongjing's theory. When he wrote The Golden Mirror of Medicine, he referred to the works of more than 20 physicians who had studied Treatise on Febrile Diseases and synopsis of the Golden Chamber before Qing Qianlong, annotated the original texts of these two classic works one by one, and compiled the revised Zhong Jing Quan Shu? Notes on Treatise on Febrile Diseases (volume 17), revised version of Zhongjing Quanshu? The synopsis of the golden chamber consists of 8 volumes, which is listed as the first of the book "golden mirror of medical zong"
