Wang Liqi (1911─) named Zangyong and named Xiaochuan. A native of Jiangjin, Sichuan. He entered a private school at the age of seven and was admitted to Jiangjin Middle School and the high school of Chongqing University after he was 20 years old. After graduation, he taught at Dacai Middle School for half a year. He was admitted to the Chinese Department of Sichuan University and then to the Institute of Liberal Arts of Peking University. He has successively served as a lecturer, associate professor, and professor at Sichuan University, Chenghua University, Northwest University, and Peking University. He also served as an editor at the Ancient Literature Publishing House and the People's Literature Publishing House, and as a special researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has now retired.
