Because of their hatred of the Manchu regime, the Hongmen brothers were unwilling to use the title of the Qing Dynasty. As a huge organization, internal documents and posts will inevitably touch the records of the times. Therefore, around the middle of Qing Dynasty, Hong Men began to use "Tian Yun" as the year number. "Tian Yun" was originally the title of Zhuangzi, namely "Zhuangzi Tian Yun". It still talks about destiny and contains the meaning of rejuvenating the Han Dynasty with the help of God's will. The usual practice in application is "natural luck"+"dry branch", such as "natural luck in the year of Gengzi" and so on. There are two detailed first year dates in history. One is that Lin, a laggard of the Heaven and Earth Society in Taiwan Province Province in November of Qianlong 51, adopted the title of "Tian Yun" as the title of his political power after the Changhua Uprising. This year was "the first year of Tian Yun", but the second year was changed to "Shuntian", which was suppressed by the Qing army more than a year later. Second, Liu Lichuan, the leader of the Shanghai Knife Club (the branch of Heaven and Earth Club), set out in August of the third year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1853), and also used "the first year of Tianyun" in the notice posted by his daughter.
Driven by the Hongmenhui Party, Chinese communities in Guangdong and Southeast Asia began to use the year number "Tian Yun" alongside the year number of the Qing Dynasty, while the tombstones of Hakka people in Tian Liang used the year number "Tian Yun" instead of the year number of the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, indicating that they did not accept the rule of the Qing Dynasty. The year number on the monument truly reflects the "political inclination" of the deceased and is the product of a specific historical period.
Therefore, if it comes from an inscription recorded in modern times, it is probably in 1860, which is the year number of the Dao Club. If it is before modern times, it is difficult to verify the year. However, the use of Tian Yun basically started from the Qing Dynasty.
