Introduction to Dou Qu

Dou Qu (1804~1865), also named Yufu, also named Zizhou, and named Lanquan, was born in the ninth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1804). His ancestral home was Taichuan, Jiangnan. He moved to Yunnan in the Ming Dynasty. He was originally from Shuji Village, West District, Luoping Prefecture (now Shuji Village, Shizong County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province). The Shujidou family was a prominent family in eastern Yunnan during the Qing Dynasty. He died in Guizhou in the fourth year of Tongzhi (1865) at the age of sixty-two.
