The Origin of TCM Rehabilitation
In history, the word "rehabilitation" was first used in Chinese medicine. According to "Er Ya Shi": "Kang, Anye"; Erya Shi Yan: "Reply, reply". In other words, rehabilitation means restoring peace or health. The meaning of "rehabilitation" in ancient medical books mainly includes the following. (1) refers to the cure and recovery of diseases. For example, "The Medical Case of Continued Leucorrhea" contains: "Women in Maudak suffer from leucorrhea, and if it is ruled by law, it will return to normal." ② refers to mental and emotional rehabilitation. ② refers to the restoration of healthy qi. In 1980s, with the development of society and the intervention of modern rehabilitation, the connotation of TCM "rehabilitation" has also changed. It is mainly reflected in clearly putting forward that functional rehabilitation is the foothold of rehabilitation medicine, and the rehabilitation targets are mainly disabled people, as well as people with various functional disorders such as chronic diseases and senile diseases. This is basically consistent with the concept of "rehabilitation" in modern rehabilitation.
