Roading on the West Lake
Gou Jian destroyed the Kingdom of Wu. On the night when they held a grand celebration ceremony, Fan Li, who had made great contributions,
Rouge Lake
I quietly took Xi Shi with me, sneaked out of Qimen, got on Uncle Ade's small wooden boat that had been waiting there for a long time, crossed the moat, turned in a circle, and headed straight for Taihu Lake. They arrived at Wuli Lake in the north of Taihu Lake. Seeing the beautiful scenery and beautiful mountains and rivers, they built a few thatched houses and lived incognito. During this period, Wen Zhong was killed, and Fan Li moved to other places three times to save his life. However, because Xi Shi loved the scenery of the Five Lakes, the two finally settled in West Lake.
Xishi Fan Li
The love story between Fan Li and Xi Shi is a household name in China and everyone knows it. But there is no trace
Fan Li and Xi Shi
in historical documents. The love relationship between Fan Li and Xi Shi is not found in "Guoyu·Yueyu", "Yue Jueshu", "Historical Records·Yue Family", "Wuyue Spring and Autumn" and "Historical Records·Huo Zhi Biography", which are dedicated to the history of Yue. According to historical facts, Fan Li is one of the "Five Sages of Nanyang". His hometown is Sanhu, Chu State (now Xichuan County, Nanyang, Henan Province). Xishi's family lived in Zhuji Zhuji Zhuluo Village, Yue State (now Zhuji Zhuji Zhuluo Village, Shaoxing). They have never left their hometown, so there is no chance of meeting each other, let alone becoming a couple. After Fan Li entered Vietnam and held a high official position, it was impossible for him to go to Zhuji to meet Xishi, the daughter of Huansha. In order to corrupt King Wu's wife, Gou Jian offered the beautiful women Xi Shi and Zheng Dan to Wu. At this time, Fan Li had the opportunity to meet Xi Shi, but Fan Li would not get involved and fall in love with Xi Shi.
Historical records vary as to who dedicated Xi Shi to Fu Cha. "Yue Jueshu" said that Wen Zhong sent it, and Fan Li became an outsider. "Wu Yue Chun Qiu" said that it was sent by Fan Li. At this time of national crisis, Fan Li would only admire Xi Shi's dedication to the country, and how could he have the heart to fall in love with Xi Shi. But why do novels and dramas depict the relationship between Fan Li and Xi Shi as so affectionate, tender, and inseparable? They even say that Fan Li left Echigo and took Xi Shi to travel around the world. The author believes that this is mainly because writers sympathize with Xi Shi and want to find an ideal destination for Xi Tzu, and this ideal destination is none other than Fan Li, but this can only be a good wish.
According to historical records, Fan Li did have a wife who gave birth to three boys, but this wife was definitely not Xi Tzu, even though we emotionally hope that she is Xi Tzu. Based on the same feelings, I hope that the relationship between Fan Li and Xi Shi in the drama will continue forever, and the love between Fan Li and Xi Shi in the novel will be passed down forever.
Zang Li's "Dictionary of Chinese Names" has an entry for "Xi Shi", which says, "King Gou Jian of Yue was defeated in Kuaiji, and Fan Li took Xi Shi and presented it to King Wu Fu Chai. After Wu died, he returned to Fan Li and traveled around the five lakes. , or Yun Wu died, and Xi Shi was buried in the river to repay the Yi Yi. It is unknown which one is this. This is based on the legend and a skeptical attitude. In fact, since there is no clear record in the history books, Xi Shi’s fate has been left in doubt for eternity.
Xi Shi Zheng Dan
Shi Wenhui, vice president of the Historical Society of Xiaoshan District, Xi Shi’s hometown, believes that Xi Shi and Zheng Dan are actually the same person.
The beauty Xi Shi of the Yue Kingdom is a household name, known to all women and children. However, "Spring and Autumn", "Zuo Zhuan", "Historical Records", etc. do not record her life and events. Although the scholars in the pre-Qin Dynasty mentioned Xi Shi, they were only fragmentary:
“That’s why... Xi Shi’s beauty is due to his sinking” ("Mozi·Kin Shi")
< p>"Xi Shi is unclean, so everyone will cover their noses and pass by." ("Mencius Li Lou")"Li and Xi Shi are strange and strange, and they are one." ("Zhuangzi") ·Equality of Things")
...
It is worth noting that they only mentioned Xi Shi.
"Yue Jueshu" and "Wuyue Chunqiu" clearly stated the origin of Xi Shi, but there is no punctuation in the ancient books. Later generations judged "Xi Shi Zheng Dan" in the two books to be two people, which is a misinformation to date. < /p>
Ouyang Bin of the Northern Song Dynasty wrote the general geographical chronicle "Yu Di Guang Ji" and said: "Well, Xiaoshan was originally Yuji County... The Yue people from Xishi came from this county."
"Shaoxing" In the Genealogy of the Si Family, there is a record that Gou Jian, the king of Yue, "served Wu with pearls and jade, and offered gifts from the West."
It was composed before the Northern Song Dynasty. Dayu was regarded as the 1st generation and Gou Jian as the 44th generation. At the beginning of the volume, there are prefaces written by Fan Zhongyan, a famous minister of the Northern Song Dynasty (who knew the affairs of Yuezhou) and Wang Shipeng, the number one scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty (who was the judge of Yuezhou), which is very rare and very precious.
Han Yingzhou, the great-grandson of Han Qi, the prime minister of the Northern Song Dynasty and a scholar of Duanming Palace, said in "Sanxi Zhai": "The Prime Minister Fan Shaobo visited the home of Xi Shi and found the daughter of a firewood collector. Her surname was Zheng Mingdan and her courtesy name was Yiguang. (Father's surname is Zheng, mother's surname is Shi), selected for the Wu Palace..."
In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Shi Dongshu left Yushan in Fuyang in order to "visit the Yi Hui of Xi Shi" and "follow the Jiayou of Fan Li". Moved to Zhuluo Mountain in Xiaoran, built here, and gathered people here. "Why didn't Dongshu move to another place but to Xiaoran?" Because Xiaoshan is the birthplace of Xi Shi, they are descendants of the Xi Shi family.
Chen Weiwen (a native of Zhuji), a late Qing scholar who has been running the "Xishi Hall" in Zhuji for a long time, said: "Xi Shi and Zheng Dan are actually the same person. Because Xi Shi's mother's surname is Shi and her father's surname is Zheng, he is the son-in-law of the Shi family. ." (Zheng Yimei's "Yilin Sanye").
As we know from Shang Zhengyin, Xi Shi and Zheng Dan were actually the same person.
