Aba Normal College was founded in 1978. In 2008, it moved to the ancient city of Pixian County, Chengdu, Tuanjie Town and Pengzhou City to resume classes in 2011. It moved to Shuimo Town, Wenchuan County in 2015, and was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2015.
