One book, one review 1

This is the first traditional Chinese book I own. Everything is so fresh and full of wisdom. After reading Yataro Matsuura's book yesterday, I remembered this book that I hadn't read for a long time. I took it out and found that it was still very inspiring to me at the moment. The summary is as follows:

1. Find your destiny

Who will cry when you die? How many people can you touch in your lifetime? What impact can you have on future generations? What can you leave behind after you take your last breath?

Reflection: This topic is too serious, and I turned a blind eye to it for a time. In fact, when you realize that you are one of all living beings, you will feel relieved. Don’t have your heart higher than the sky. Find your destiny, even if it’s humble, and then start from now until the moment your life ends. Even if tomorrow is the end of the world, I will still plant my little apple tree in this style!

2. Be nice to a stranger every day

Everyone you meet in your life is your teacher and has a story to share with you. As long as you can make one person happy and smile throughout the day, even if the other person is a stranger, your day has not been in vain.

Enlightenment: Indeed, each of us needs the kindness of others to nourish our souls, so we must also give back this kindness to the world. Just like yesterday when a dozen strangers scanned the code for me in McDonald’s to canvass votes, I was very touched.

3. Adjust the perspective of looking at things

When you think about your insignificance among the stars, do you still think that your problems are huge? Are the problems you have encountered and the challenges you are facing still as serious as you say?

Enlightenment: Empathy is a good way to help yourself get rid of "self-grasping". If you usually do a good job in psychological construction, you will be more active in facing problems and looking for solutions when encountering problems.

4. Deep love and deep responsibility

Strict demands on oneself are true self-love. The stricter you are on yourself, the easier your life will be.

Enlightenment: Well, so now I am trying my best to learn and make progress every day, and kill my undisciplined self!

5. Use a diary to record your life

The medical community has found that if you spend fifteen minutes a day writing a diary, your body will be healthier, your immune system will operate more smoothly, and your whole body will Your attitude towards life will also be completely new.

Reflection: I always write when I can’t resolve my worries. Sometimes it’s a running account, sometimes it expresses one’s ambitions, sometimes it’s daydreaming, sometimes it’s poetry. No matter what you write, you will really enjoy yourself by the end.

6. Learn to be honest

Please start recording how many dishonest things you say during the week, and then spend seven days doing what I call an "honesty fast." During these seven days, promise yourself, No matter who you are facing, you must be completely honest, including with yourself.

Reflection: In my daily interactions with my children, I have tried my best to keep my word, promise him things, and do my best to do them. Teaching by words and deeds plays a huge role! What about yourself? It’s time to reflect carefully.

7. Respect your past

Every minute you can’t let go of the past is something you steal from the future. If you hide and cling to problems for one minute, you will lose one minute. You can find a way to solve it. What you think determines what you look like.

Reflection: Thank you for everything that happens, they are all blessings in disguise.

8. The beginning of the day lies in the morning

The thirty minutes after getting up every day are called the "platinum half hour". Adjust your body and mind, spend about fifteen minutes meditating quietly, focus on the good things in life, analyze how to start a new day, and then read a good book.

Enlightenment: Discover through self-observation, get up early and win in life! In today's fragmented era, if people want to grow, they must set aside a large amount of study time for themselves, and morning is undoubtedly the first choice!

9. Learn to say "no" without losing grace

Learning to say no to irrelevant things can give you more time to invest in things that can truly improve your life. What you really know in your heart will make you praised by others a hundred years from now.

Insights: This section discusses the prioritization of things to be done. Since I started seriously writing down the six important things for tomorrow in the efficiency manual, I really feel that I am no longer like a headless fly who can't find the direction. This habit should remain unchanged throughout life. Only when you know what is most important to you can you know what to say no to.

10. Take time every week to settle down your body and mind

Organizing your life so that you can schedule more of the things you like to do is the first step to improving your life. It doesn’t matter whether others understand why you have to find time to relax every week. You do it for yourself, and you deserve the trouble.

Reflection: Because I don’t have to go to work, but my precious time is invaded by numerous trivial matters, so whenever my husband has a day off, I let him look after the children while I study hard. Until one time, he fondly said that I didn't pay enough attention to rest, and ordered me not to take books with me when I went out, but to focus on spending time with him and the children. From that day on, I also started to implement my weekly "rest day".

11. Talk to yourself

The human heart has infinite power to shape life and condense happiness and success.

Train your mind through word choice. Repeat these mantras by whispering to yourself, and let these words accompany you on your walk to work, wait in line for coffee, and wash dishes with you. Let these unproductive times become key moments for you to improve your life. Do this at least two hundred times a day for at least four weeks.

Insights: It has been included in the efficiency manual. Say "whisper" to yourself 200 times a day and insist on looking around for the effect.
