Why did the flowers become new green?

The reasons are as follows: Mr. Zhou annotated Selected Works of Yang Wanli (see the new edition of Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, 1979), and accidentally found that the second sentence of this poem is' Trees want to be green but not shady. Selected Notes of Mr. Zhou is a reliable and accurate revision of the four-series shadow Song edition and the four-series Chu Gan Long Ji An edition.

Moreover, from the perspective of the integrity of poetic artistic conception, "new green" is obviously better and more vital than "fallen flower". In the Spring Festival, although she hasn't had time to dress up, she is full of vitality, with a little new green on the tree head, expressing the poet's love for a better life and admiration for the magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland. The artistic conception of the whole poem is consistent from beginning to end.

Yang Wanli? Song dynasty

Hedges are sparse and deep, and the trees are green and not shady.

The child ran quickly to catch the yellow butterfly, but the butterfly suddenly flew into the vegetable garden and could not be found again.

Interpretation: Next to the sparse fence, a path leads to the distance. The petals on the roadside trees are falling, and the new leaves have just grown and have not yet formed a shade. The child ran after the yellow butterfly, but the butterfly flew into the cauliflower and was never found.
