It is not an animal or a plant, but a protoplasm in the process of life evolution. In other words, Tai Sui may be a myxomycete, a protoplast between protozoa and fungi, with the characteristics of both protozoa and fungi. It can move like an amoeba and reproduce like a fungus. The nutritional mode of Myxomycetes is heterotrophic predation, capturing small particles of bacteria or organic matter around them. Li Shizhen called it "Yueshi" in Compendium of Materia Medica, and called it "the top grade of this classic". The ancient book Shan Hai Jing called Tai Sui "seeing meat, gathering meat and starting over" and described it as "eating up and getting it back". It looks like animal skin, but it is found to be a sticky body like fat after being cut open.
As an ancient and rare species, the traditional "meat ganoderma lucidum" is the fourth newly discovered creature besides plants, animals and microorganisms, and it is a special ancient creature unknown to human beings at present.
