Brief introduction of the author
Yang Bojun (1909 ~ 1992), editor of Zhonghua Book Company, was born in Changsha, Hunan. 1932 graduated from Chinese Department of Peking University. Before liberation, he was a member of Feng Yuxiang's research office and a lecturer at Sun Yat-sen University. After liberation, he served as president of Hunan Democratic Newspaper, director of the Secretariat of Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, director of the United Front Work Department of Hunan Province, associate professor of Peking University and Lanzhou University, and editor of Zhonghua Book Company. Director of the Chinese Language Society. He is the author of Function Words in Classical Chinese (Zhonghua Book Company 1965), Grammar in Classical Chinese (Zhonghua Book Company 1963), Liezi Interpretation (Zhonghua Book Company 1979) and Mencius Annotation (Zhonghua Book Company1979). Notes on Zuo Zhuan in the Spring and Autumn Period (Zhonghua Book Company 198 1 year), A Dictionary of Zuo Zhuan in the Spring and Autumn Period (Zhonghua Book Company 1985), Yang Bojun's research essays (Yuelu Book Company 1992) and Yang Bojun's academic essays. 1984 gave lectures on The Book of Songs, An Introduction to Zuo Zhuan in the Spring and Autumn Period, The Analects of Confucius and Mencius for RTVU, and the contents were included as Lectures on the History of Ancient Culture in China (China Central Radio and TV University Press 1984).
Zuo's Biography in Spring and Autumn Period
The full name of Zuozhuan is Chunqiu Zuozhuan, which is one of the thirteen Confucian classics and one of the twenty-four histories. Zuo Zhuan is not only a historical masterpiece of ancient Han nationality, but also a literary masterpiece. Zuo Zhuan is China's first detailed chronicle work. According to legend, it was compiled by Zuo Qiuming, a historian of the State of Lu at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, according to the History of the State of Lu. The narrative scope began in the year of Lu Yin (722 BC) and ended in the twenty-seventh year of Lu Aigong (468 BC), which mainly recorded the important events and figures in politics, economy, military affairs, diplomacy and culture of various countries in the early period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
