There are two versions of the name Qingcheng Mountain. One is that Qingcheng Mountain has verdant trees and is evergreen all year round. It is surrounded by peaks and looks like a city outline. Therefore, it is called "Qingcheng" mountain. [1] The other is that Qingcheng Mountain was originally called "Qingcheng Mountain". It was named "Qingcheng" because of the ancient myth that "Qingdu, Ziwei, and the Emperor of Heaven live". During the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism developed rapidly, and Buddhism and Taoism had a turf war on the mountain. The lawsuit went to the emperor, and Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty believed it and personally issued an edict to "return Taoism to Taoism and build the temple outside the mountain." However, the edict changed "Qingcheng" to "Qingcheng", so it was renamed Qingcheng Mountain. This is not a legend, and it is still preserved on the mountain. The full text of the Tang Dynasty inscriptions and edicts is available to support it.
