Hubei Archaeological Museum has collected more than 20,000 cultural relics unearthed from more than 200 sites excavated in Hubei since 1950s, including Yangjiawan, Baimiao, Sandouping and Guanzhuangping sites in Zigui, Yichang before the official start of the Three Gorges Project, and cultural relics investigated in Danjiang reservoir area in 1950s, as well as Jianshi people, Yunxian people, Jigongshan and Qujialing people. Hubei Archaeological Museum is committed to spreading Jingchu culture and Yangtze River culture and sharing the achievements of heritage protection with the public.

It is understood that there are more than 20,000 pieces of cultural relics in the museum, including Yangjiawan, Baimiao, Sandouping, Zigui Guanzhuangping and other sites in Yichang before the official start of the Three Gorges Project, as well as cultural relics investigated in Danjiang reservoir area in the 1950s, as well as Jianshi people, Yunxian people, Jigongshan, Qujialing, Shijiahe, Panlongcheng, Tonglushan, Yutaishan and other places in Hubei.

At present, the museum has three basic exhibitions. Among them, the Millennium Cultural Context-Archaeological Exhibition of Yangtze River Civilization in Hubei Province reveals the formation and development process of "one million years of human history, ten thousand years of cultural history, five thousand years of civilization history" and pluralistic Chinese civilization by selecting 1000 pieces of pottery, bronze ware, stone tools and jade articles with distinctive characteristics of the times, and shows the historical process of the integration of Yangtze River civilization into Chinese civilization.

The project "Hubei Three Gorges Archaeological Achievements Exhibition" featured nearly 100 pieces of pottery, porcelain, bronzes and stone rubbings, and briefly introduced the Neolithic archaeological culture, Bachu culture and the cultural outlook after the formation of a unified multi-ethnic country in the Three Gorges area. Through rich archaeological achievements, it shows the important position of this area in the formation and development of Yangtze River civilization and even Chinese civilization.

The Yangtze River Civilization Exhibition (Digital) is the first digital exhibition of the Yangtze River civilization in the pre-Qin period, exhibiting more than 65,438+000 fossils, stone tools, pottery, jade, bronze, lacquered wood, bamboo slips, wooden slips and so on.
