Brief introduction of the Grand Canal Museum in Sui and Tang Dynasties
Huaibei China Sui and Tang Grand Canal Museum (formerly known as Huaibei Museum) is located in Huaibei, a beautiful and changeable national garden city, far from the municipal government and adjacent to Century Square and Sports Center. It opened in September 2004, covering an area of more than 40 mu, with a building area of 10670 m2. The museum was founded in 1976, and the new museum was built in August of 200 1. Designed by Qi Kang, an academician of China Academy of Engineering and an architectural expert of Southeast University, it has a novel and unique shape, which fully embodies the regional and cultural characteristics of Xiangcheng. At present, the museum is a national 3A-level scenic spot, and will soon be declared as a national 4A-level scenic spot.
