Lajia Site, located in Lajia Village, Guanting Town, Minhe County, Qinghai Province, is a large settlement site in the Neolithic Age and is known as "Pompeii in the East". There are many types of ancient cultural sites in prehistoric and bronze age, such as Miaodigou period, Majiayao culture, Qijia culture and Xindian culture.
Lajia site is a prehistoric site, which was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 200 1 year and one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in 200 1 year. There is a trench around the center of the site, with a width of10m and a depth of 3-4m. The trench is rectangular, 600 meters long and 200 meters wide, and there are rows of semi-basement houses inside.
So far, three buildings have been excavated, the ground and walls are leveled with white gypsum, and there are circular pits. There are 2 ~ 14 people in the room, including finished products and semi-finished products such as pottery, stone, jade and jade materials. Also unearthed.
During the excavation in 2002, a bowl of noodle-like relics was unearthed on the ground of Room 20. According to Cai Linhai, the Qinghai Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, who discovered the discovery, when it was unearthed, the red pottery bowl was upside down on the ground, and the bowl was full of mud. After opening it, I found that there were relics in the bowl, which looked like noodles.
But it has weathered, leaving only skin as thin as cicada's wings, but the original state of noodles still has a certain shape. Noodles are attached to the soil that later infiltrated into the pottery bowl. The earthen bowl is sealed, and it is upside down, so it can be preserved conditionally.
According to experts' appraisal and analysis, the surface remains unearthed from Lajia site in Qinghai Province are noodles made of millet. As the age of Lajia site is about 4000 years ago, it is the earliest noodle remains so far.
