There are nearly 500 pieces of Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio. The traditional works inherited in the creation include Strange Tales of the Six Dynasties, Legends of the Tang Dynasty, Historical Records, etc., which personify the charm of the flower fox, understand the ghost world, criticize the society in twists and turns, and express the ideal. Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, as a collection of short stories in classical Chinese, firstly inherits and summarizes the artistic experience of ancient short stories in classical Chinese.
The novels of the Six Dynasties are not divorced from history, just like the novels of people born at the same time. Although the weird things recorded in the works are completely false, the author records the real things like social workers, not to mention artistic processing and artistic generalization.
