Read Buddhist scriptures and recite them, but it depends on the purpose and how much time you have. Usually, Buddhists don't recite the heart sutra, popular books, amitabha sutra, diamond sutra, pharmacist sutra, Tibetan sutra and so on. Some people who have more time can recite Hokkekyo and Huayan Sutra. The way of chanting, for example, one person can use wooden fish or not. If two or more people chant together, they must use wooden fish. It is best to determine a sutra and make a vow to recite it many times in a certain period of time. Don't recite this scripture today and change another one tomorrow. The mantra is not for understanding, but for good pronunciation, and you don't need to know what it means.
