Pangu ancient books

The myth of creation was born in the early stage of human civilization, reflecting the ancient ancestors' thinking about the origin of the universe and its own source. It is the basis of the formation of myth system. China has preserved a wealth of ancient mythological documents, such as Shan Hai Jing, Chu Ci, Huai Nan Zi and Book of Rites. However, these ancient books do not record complete creation myths. The fairy tales about the creation of Nu Wa and Pangu in the Han Dynasty have not been recognized by international academic circles because of their rich literary content and epochal nature. Therefore, Frederick W. Mote, an American scholar, suggested that China is the only country among the four ancient civilizations without the myth of creation.

I. Pangu

The Three Calendars in May is the earliest work describing Pangu's opening of heaven. Left many beautiful legends for future generations. In fact, before Pangu, there was a very complete creation myth, and it was the only one, but it was not widely circulated. It was not until a Chu tomb was stolen that this creation myth was made public. ?

Second, Nu Wa

Nu Wa created everything in the world, so who opened the sky? Yes, it is Fuxi. According to ancient records, the world was originally a chaos. There are two natural immortals, Fuxi and Nuwa. One day, Fuxi suddenly understood the way of Yin and Yang Tai Chi, and then painted the sky. This is the merit of Fuxi's creation. Lu You, a famous poet, once wrote: Kun's secret was broken for no reason, which is a myth and legend that Nu Wa said when drawing it.

Third, who was earlier?

The earliest myth is that Nu Wa created everything. Even though the patriarchal society deliberately suppressed women's status and created the myth of Pangu's creation, there is still a legend that Nu Wa created man to make up the sky, and her status remains unshakable. Secondly, chaos is divided into Pangu first, Pangu comes out first, and there is heaven and earth behind it. Before Fuxi painted Yin and Yang, Wuji gave birth to Tai Chi, and Tai Chi gave birth to two instruments, and the second instrument was Yin and Yang.
