From 2020, Shenyang plans to implement the reconstruction project of Shengjing Imperial City in three years.
Details of Shengjing Imperial City Reconstruction Project:
1. It will speed up the design of the boundary sign of Shengjing Imperial City, and build a tourism-oriented sign system, a "one core and many auxiliary" visitor center and a 3A-level scenic public toilet;
2. Demolition of Shengjing Longcheng Corridor, the parking lot building on the north side of Khan Palace and the building on the southwest side of the Forbidden City;
3. Accelerate the comprehensive improvement of Tian Tong Street and upgrade the construction of Jiumen Road, Zhengyang Street and Chaoyang Street;
4. Implement 9-pole underground transformation;
5. Complete the transformation of eight hutongs and the construction of the central cultural tourism area to ensure that eight cultural tourism projects, including the Capital Cultural Square, reach the image progress;
6. Relocate some administrative space to help the development of Shengjing Imperial City.
