If you were to stand under the wall, how long would it take for the clouds to hold up the sun?

That afternoon, I was hiking in Zhanjiang Seaside Park. As I was walking, I saw a poem "Ode to Bamboo" by Zheng Banqiao carved on a stone near bamboo. My eyes lit up and I was deeply moved.

For those who are studying, there is no need to ask Agui or Du Niang. Even if you don’t know "Zheng Xie", you will always know that more than 250 years ago, there was a scholar in Xinghua, Jiangsu, who worked as a scholar. Poetry, calligraphy and painting, Zheng Banqiao, one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, known as the "Three Wonders", right?

For more than 250 years, there have been long-standing conclusions about Zheng Banqiao’s integrity as an official, his concern for people’s livelihood, his writing skills, and his involvement in calligraphy and painting. The "Literary Encyclopedia Dictionary" has an entry for him, saying that he is a writer, calligrapher and painter.

I once read the "Family Letters of Zheng Banqiao" and knew that this sage taught his brothers, nephews and nephews very well through words and deeds. I know very little about his poetry and paintings, but I have already memorized "Ode to Bamboo". So when I met him, it was like meeting a mentor and friend, and I felt very cordial.

Water has a source and trees have roots. The history of the development of spiritual civilization in our motherland has a long history and stretches across the world, benefiting and innovating from generation to generation. Nowadays, the country pays more and more attention to the construction of spiritual civilization. Inheritance and development go hand in hand. In this southern coastal park, inscriptions are carved on stones and placed next to bamboos to remind people of the spirit of "resulting in strength despite repeated hardships", which is a concrete manifestation of the spread of spiritual civilization.

The author is living in Leizhou Peninsula. Although I have admired Zheng Banqiao for a long time, I just kept an eye out for his writings when looking for old books.

, except for the first 18 pages, which are photocopies of calligraphy and paintings, the contents of the book are divided into six series, namely, family letters, poems, poems, poems, paintings, and addendums. With this book, I gradually learned more about Zheng Banqiao's literary style, his calligraphy and his paintings.

In this book, the "Foreword" written by Mr. Guang Fu Baoshi is extremely precious. I read it often and it has given me a lot of lessons and inspiration, and I have even more respect for Zheng Banqiao.

When you see a wise man and think about him, when you read his book and think about his person, you have respect for a former wise man. Naturally, you want to visit the place where he lived and look for the footprints in his life.

This wish has been made for many years, and it was not until April this year that it came true with the help of my nephew.

On April 17, because my nephew had to go to work, I took a shuttle bus from Taizhou to Xinghua alone. After getting off the bus, I took a bus to Zheng Banqiao’s former residence, No. 51 Banqiao East Road.

I first took an overall photo of the former residence in front of the door, and then asked a young woman who was visiting to take a photo for me. She smiled and readily agreed, took my mobile phone, and called I stood at the door, and a photo of an old man from Zhanjiang, with Zheng Banqiao's former residence as the background, was frozen in a Huawei mobile phone.

The photos attached to the article were taken while I was visiting.

The total number of literati and poets who have written and painted bamboo in the past is probably more than the number of people who make bamboo utensils now.

In this case, why should I write about bamboo fun to take advantage of this excitement? Wouldn’t it be the same, contradictory, and thankless?

That’s not necessarily the case. This is just like literature is the study of humanities. Anyone who is good at painting or interested in writing will pick up a pen. Who has never painted a human model or described a person?

Painting people, also known as painting dolls in Cantonese, is just about painting their appearance, figure, facial features, and expressions. If you can depict them with different expressions and lifelike expressions, you have considerable skill. If you can draw intestines Come on, wouldn't it be superfluous?

When it comes to composition, everyone has their own cultivation skills, everyone has their own discoveries and experiences, everyone has their own writing practice process and experience and lessons, as long as they speak from the heart, not If we refer to each other, imitate and plagiarize, how can we be the same?

It is said that Zheng Banqiao practiced calligraphy very hard. At night, he and his wife shared a bed with each other and used pillows. Body, why are you always scratching my body?

A word awakened the man in his dream, and Zheng Banqiao had an epiphany. Since then, he has become more diligent and diligent in practicing his self-proclaimed Six and a Half Minutes. His poetry, calligraphy and painting are all original and unique.

Can’t our writers today get some inspiration from Zheng Banqiao’s unique and independent creative spirit? Why should we follow what others say and follow their footsteps?

Friends who are interested in writing may wish to read Zheng Banqiao's poem "One Rod Out of Paper":

What is so weird about painters, one can lift the sky with one stroke.

If one were to stand under the wall, how long would it be before the clouds held up the sun?

Yes, if you don’t think independently, don’t create independently, stick to the old ways, pick up other people’s wisdom, and follow what others say, it won’t be until what year or month will your own truly original works be born!
