2. Deepening literature review: Reference is the basis of literature review, providing the author with a comprehensive overview of the existing research. Through the comprehensive analysis of relevant literature, the author can better understand the present situation, problems and research trends of this research field.

3. Ensure academic integrity: quoting other people's works helps to maintain academic integrity. It is the basic requirement of academic circles to quote literature sources correctly and avoid plagiarism. The citation of references can trace the source of knowledge and ensure the authenticity and transparency of academic research.

4. Promote the development of the discipline: References reflect the development and progress of the discipline. By tracking the development of citations, scholars can understand the research trends in a certain field, thus promoting the further development of this discipline.
