First, add a border.

2. Click the triangle button under the paragraph border.

3. Select the border that meets our needs in the list. For example, we can select the "outer border" option to add a border around the selected paragraph.

Second, set the border format.

1. Click the triangle button at the bottom of Borders in Paragraphs, and then choose Borders and Shading from the menu.

2. Select the desired border style from the Style list in the Borders and Shading dialog box.

3. Select the border color that meets our needs in the color box.

4. Select the appropriate border width in the width list.
