Pictures can be TIF, EPS and PSD, and it is generally not recommended to use jepg as a lossy compression format. But if it is, there is no need to change it. Eps can keep the spot color channel, and the display is low, which may not be clear on the layout, but it will make the file run faster. If the picture is very large, using tif HD will make the file run slowly.
Font is your own business. Come as you see fit. You can set various fonts and font sizes, and then print one to see the effect.
All page settings are set in the home page. Including heart, page, eyebrow, book foot and so on. It turns out that a lot of content on every page is the same. When typesetting, pay attention to bleeding when the picture or color block reaches the edge, otherwise it will leak out. Photos must be of high resolution.
You can save the format of the layout directly, and then copy the pictures and fonts to the printing company, and they can output the official printed document according to your document. If you feel troublesome, you can also directly output PDF files. But remember to set each option. For example, the bleeding position should be 3 mm, the corner line should be 3 mm away from the finished product, the picture should output its own pixels, and the text should be downloaded and embedded ... If these are not clear, it is better to send the original typesetting file directly to the printing company.
Excellence depends mainly on the color of your document. The four colors are the original "cyan, yellow, red and black _ _CMYK". Almost all colors can be printed with these four inks. Spot color means that you can set a special color according to your own ideas and requirements. Usually, if your printed matter has only one or two colors, or if the book has a large number of blocks of the same color, then colored backgrounds and spot colors are also optional. Because every color needs a plate. If you have a color composed of CMYK, you will have to publish four versions, but if you set a spot color, you only need to publish one version of the color in the book. The printing company will specially prepare one ink for you, instead of printing directly with these four inks. You got it?
Generally, horse riding is only in the pamphlet, because there is no spine. If the document is large and has many pages, it will make the document untidy. So look at the number of pages in your document. If there are many pages in the document, the printing company does not recommend that you order by riding a horse.
Using paper really depends on the effect you want. If it is a picture album or exquisite promotional materials or hardcover books, it can be used, and the cost is relatively high. What kind of paper to use, when you arrive at the printing company, they will have a special introduction. Finally, you may be given a draft sample. Or show you a book with this paper, and let you feel what a book with this paper will look like. So, it depends on what you want.
There are six common book binding methods:
(1) riding a horse. Only two iron wire nails are used to connect the pages, because the iron wire is easy to rust and the fastness is poor. Suitable for ordering less than 6 books and periodicals.
(2) paperback. Because the iron wire rusts easily and the pages are loose, it has been used less now. Moreover, the paperback book must occupy a certain binding width, so that the pages can only be "half-opened", and the book is too thick to be easily turned over, which is generally suitable for books and periodicals with less than 400 pages.
(3) sewing thread. Also known as cross-stitch binding, although the book block is relatively strong, there are many stitches in the back of the book, which leads to poor flatness.
(4) wireless binding. Also known as adhesive back binding. Because of the good flatness, a large number of books and periodicals use this binding method at present. However, because there is no corresponding industry standard or national standard for the quality of hot melt adhesive, and the use method is not standardized, the quality of bound books has not reached a satisfactory level.
(5) Binding on the back of the locking glue. Also known as sewing and binding, when binding, each book post is sewn first and then glued, and the back is no longer milled when glued. The books loaded by this binding method are firm and flat, and there are many books using this method at present.
(6) Plastic wire ironing. This is a relatively advanced binding method, which is characterized in that the book posts in the book block are bound twice. The first bonding function is to bond the plastic thread binding foot with the book post paper, so that the pages in the book post can be fixed; The second binding is to bind the book block bound by plastic thread into a book block through wireless binding. The book block bound by this method is very firm, and the influence of bad glue on the binding quality is reduced because there is no need to mill the back and roughen. Plastic wire ironing was introduced to China from Germany (former East Germany) as early as the mid-1970s, but it failed to be popularized and applied in the mainland for various reasons. But in other countries in the world, this binding technology is widely used.
