Extended data:

Growth habit

Solanum nigrum is a cold-resistant and heat-resistant plant. The average temperature suitable for growth is 0 ~ 25℃, and the northern part of China belongs to temperate zone, which can reach -40-(-30)℃ in winter, so begonia can't grow. The south is tropical and subtropical, and it is hot all the year round, so sunflowers are not suitable for growth.

Therefore, Solanum nigrum can only be distributed in the north subtropical zone of Central China and the Yangtze River basin, and Anhui is the northern edge of Solanum nigrum distribution. Like humidity, it is often wild on the roadside of low mountains and in the shade of open spaces. Avoid stagnant water and cultivate in well-drained, loose and fertile loam.
