Introduction to Yuhailou Attractions:
Yuhailou is located in the northeast corner of Ruian Ancient City, one of the four famous museums in Zhejiang. In the 14th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1888), it was built by Sun and Sun Yirang. Sun (18 14? D 1894), the word Qin Xi, was a scholar in the thirty years of Qing Daoguang (7850). He used to be assistant minister of Jiangning and Taibu Temple, and was famous for his maverick in the late Qing Dynasty. Sun Yiran (1848? D 1g08), a juren in the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867), is a famous master and educator of park studies in Qing Dynasty, and has written more than 30 works, such as Justice of Zhou Rites, Notes on Mozi, Examples of Wen Qi and Wenzhou Classics. Zhang Taiyan called it "unparalleled in 300 years", and Liang Qichao praised it as "the temple has A Qing's generation and shines brilliantly".
Yuhai Building has Sun Yirang's former residence and Baijinzhai. The original area is about 8000 square meters, surrounded by water on three sides, and advances forward and backward. White lotus is planted in Baijinzhai, T-shaped Gallery and Yiyuan in the west. Sun Yirang's former residence has a back garden in the north. The whole building is a collection of libraries, residential houses and private gardens, with strong characteristics of official residences in southern Zhejiang.
Sun Shi and his son admired Wang Yinglin, a scholar in the Southern Song Dynasty, so he named his masterpiece Jade Sea as the building name to show that the collection of books is "as precious as jade, if the sea is vast". Yu Hai Lou Ji was written by Li Wentian, assistant minister of the Ministry of Rites, and Guo Moruo wrote "Jade into peaches and plums, surging waves in the sea". Yuhailou had a collection of 890,000 books at that time, and was famous for its numerous books approved by many scholars, Sun Shi and his son, and numerous documents in Ouyue Township. Its collection regulations are 65,438+06 volumes, which are strictly managed. Later, ancient books were gradually lost. Over the years, it has continuously collected ancient books, cultural relics, calligraphy and painting scattered abroad, and opened Sun Yirang Memorial Hall, folk cultural relics showroom and exhibition. There are more than 30,000 books, including 4,000 rare books. Nowadays, the riverside is shaded by trees and the courtyard is quiet, attracting experts, scholars and people from all walks of life at home and abroad, and national leaders Guo Moruo, Tian Jiaying and Xu Jialu to visit or write inscriptions. 1996 is listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
