Brief introduction of Beijing Capital Museum

1. Capital Museum, referred to as Shoubo for short, is located at Fuxingmenwai Street 16, west of Baiyun Road, the west extension of Chang 'an Street in Beijing. A museum integrating collection, exhibition, research, archaeology, public education and cultural exchange, it is a large-scale comprehensive museum in Beijing and belongs to the municipal comprehensive museum in China Province.

2. By the end of 20 15, the Capital Museum had a total construction area of 63,390 square meters and a permanent exhibition collection of 5,622 pieces. The exhibition hall has five floors above ground and two floors underground. It has been rated as "national first-class museum", "national popular science education base" and "patriotic education base" successively.

3. The Capital Museum was closed from June 22nd, 2002 1 to July 22nd1,and opened normally on July 2nd.
