Where is Tangganling?

Tangganling is a famous archaeological site scenic spot in Xi.

Ganling is the westernmost of the eighteen tombs in the Tang Dynasty. It is the cemetery of Li Zhi, the third emperor of the Tang Dynasty and his empress, and Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in the history of China.

Ganling was built in 683 AD, and 22 years later, Wu Zetian and Ganling were buried together. Built on Liangshan Mountain, Ganling faces south. The whole cemetery consists of the inner and outer cities, with doors on all sides, a circumference of 40 kilometers and a north-south axis of 4.9 kilometers. The cultural relics left on the ground mainly include 1 14 stone carvings in front of the mausoleum, such as stone horses, stone statues, winged horses, huabiao and ostriches, as well as sages' tablets and wordless tablets, which were eulogized by Emperor Gaozong and Wu Zetian.
