Introduction:

Sima Yi, a native of Zhong Da, was born in Xiaojinli, wen county, Hanoi County (now wen county, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province). During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Wei was a politician, strategist and powerful minister, and was also one of the founders of the Western Jin Dynasty.

Sima Yi was smart and knowledgeable since childhood, and he fell in love with Confucianism. Because the Han Dynasty was controlled by Cao Shi, Sima Yi once refused the official position granted by Cao Cao. But in the 13th year of Jian 'an (208), after Cao Cao became prime minister, Sima Yi was forced to be a civil servant.

In the third year of Jiaping (25 1), Sima Yi died at the age of 73, resigned from the county magistrate and was buried in Wenxuan, shouyangshan and posthumous title. The second son, Si Mazhao, was named after Jin and chased Sima Yi as Wang Xuan. After his grandson Sima Yan proclaimed himself emperor, he honored Sima Yi as Xuan Di, with the temple name Gaozu.
