The Historical Evolution of Jinzhou Library

At the beginning of the building, the building area was 520 square meters, with 48,422 books and staff 13. At that time, it was the largest library in western Liaoning. 1982, the municipal government decided to expand Jinzhou library in situ, 1984 was put into use, and 1985 was officially opened. After the expansion, Jinzhou Library has a building area of 4,200 square meters and a collection of 577,508 books, including ancient books, foreign languages, ordinary Chinese books, newspapers and periodicals. The number of staff has increased to 66, of which 80% have a bachelor's degree or above. The quality of the staff has been greatly improved, and the original situation has been comprehensively improved. After the evaluation and acceptance by 1994 Ministry of Culture, Jinzhou Library was rated as a national third-class library. 1998 was rated as a national second-class library by the Ministry of Culture.
