This paragraph comes from "Zhongshuo" written by Wang Tong.
The whole paragraph is: Use the benefits to make friends, and when the benefits are exhausted, we will disperse. When the momentum intersects, when the momentum fails, it will fall. Intersect with power, give up when power is lost. Friendship is based on love, and if love is broken, it will hurt. Only through heart-to-heart communication can lasting success be achieved.
Translation: Friends who are made to gain power will break up when they lose power. Friends who are made for the sake of profit will break up when there is no profit. Friends who are made for rights will be abandoned when they have no rights. Friends who are friends with each other based on human feelings will break up when there is no human kindness. Only friends who make friends with heart can be the longest-lasting friends.
