Who compiled the Draft of the History of Qing Dynasty?

The Draft of Qing History is a large-scale draft of Qing history compiled by Zhao Erxun with the approval of Yuan Shikai during the Beiyang government. Because it was hastily published in Fu Zi without being revised by the editor-in-chief, it was called "draft history". More than 300 staff members participated in the compilation of this historical manuscript, and the compilation time was as long as 15 years. Finally, it was written into a book with 536 volumes and more than 8 million words. For decades, the Draft of Qing History has provided a lot of valuable historical materials for the study of Qing history. However, there are also many problems and mistakes in his political views, genre style and historical facts. It will be beneficial for the newly-launched large-scale compilation project of the history of Qing Dynasty to study and summarize the compilation of the draft of the history of Qing Dynasty and its experiences and lessons.
