Famous snacks include mutton powder, Shexiang jade hairpin, Weining Xiaobaba, Zhijinfafaba, winter wrapped meat, tea crumbs, Longhua Zongxiang meat, roasted potato, Xu Jiatai Poxiang bean curd, Bijie glutinous dumplings, Yelang Bagua chicken, Zhijin kung pao chicken and Weining buckwheat bean jelly.

The ancient and unique national customs and habits constitute the traditional fashion of Bijie people's enthusiasm and courtesy, respect for the old and love for the young, unity and friendship. The unique wedding banquet of the Yi nationality, the horn wine of the Miao nationality, the Taoist "colorful orchid" of the Hui nationality, the funeral customs of the Yi nationality and the Miao nationality and the cloth wedding customs are all unique.

Colorful national festivals, such as "Yi Torch Festival", "Yi Year", "Miao jump flower festival" and "Buyi June 6th". The culture of ethnic ancient books is a highlight of Bijie's national reputation. More than 70 books with more than 30 million words, such as Southwest Yi Records, Yiyuan, Yijing Catalogue and Migration Songs, have attracted the attention of experts and scholars at home and abroad, making Bijie one of the student practice bases of Central University for Nationalities and Southwest People's College.
