There are many sources of Qiu surname, mainly in four aspects:
First, from Jiang's family: Emperor Yan was born in (now west of Qishan County, Shaanxi Province) because he thought Jiang was his surname. Sun Boyi, the Yan emperor, was called Taiyue. He helped Dayu control water, but he was sealed in Lu (now Nanyang West, Henan Province), and his descendants took his surname. His descendant Lu Shang, also known as Jiang Ziya and King Taigong, assisted the Zhou Dynasty in destroying the Shang Dynasty. Because of his extraordinary feats, he built Yingqiu (now the north of Linzi District, Zibo City, Shandong Province), and the supporters living in Yingqiu took Qiu's family as their surname. "Guang Yun" quoted from Ying Shao's "A Brief Account of Customs and Righteousness" in the Eastern Han Dynasty: "Qiu's family was sealed in Yingqiu, and his grandson took the land as his surname, living in Fufeng. At the end of the Han Dynasty, Qiu Jun usurped the throne for Wang Mang, so he stayed in Jiangzuo and lived in Xing Wu. " In the Tang Dynasty, Yuan and his surname were compiled and recorded: "Autumn was sealed in Yingqiu, and Sun took the land as his surname and lived in Fufeng."
There are three ancestors of Qiu surname who first appeared in ancient books: one is Qiu Wuzi, who died 52 1 years ago and was called a dutiful son. Second, there was a weak doctor Qiu in Twenty-three Years of Zuo Zhuan Gong. Third, Lu Zuoshi Qiu Ming, the author of Zuo Zhuan and Guoyu, is known as Zuo Qiuming in history.
Zuo Qiuming was listed as a "benevolent man in the upper middle class" in the list of ancient and modern people in Hanshu, named after Mencius. Qiu clan is also proud of Zuo Qiuming and respects him as the ancestor. Qiu Yong, a celebrity of Song and Autumn Family, participated in the compilation of Eighteen Quiet Autumn in Guang Yun, and quoted the article "Customs" as saying: "Autumn is the end of Zuo Qiuming." Yanmen Shaosi compiled "Family Name Solution": "Hill, Lu Zuo Qiuming is followed by Hill. He said that he was sealed at the foot of the mountain and was strict behind. There are Qiu lingju in qi. Liang You, Qiu Juyuan and Qiu Zhongyu are the best in the world. " Zhu Xing says: "Zuo Qiuming, a famous hill, is the official to Zuo's". Song and Notes on Gaizhai contain: "Shi, Ji ... Notes on the Origin of Autumn in China Dictionary of Surnames: "① It comes from Jiang's family. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, Qi Taigong was sealed in Qi State and lived in Yingqiu. If the branch lives in Yingqiu, Qiu is the surname. (2) after Zuo Qiuming in the Spring and Autumn Period. According to the folk edition of Zuo Zhuan Jing She Zhi in the Confucius Archives in Qufu, Shandong Province, "Zuo Zizu's surname is Jiang, the squire was sealed in Yingqiu, the eldest son was a vassal, and Qiu was his surname. The Biography of Jiang Taigong compiled by the editorial board of Shandong Celebrities records: "The third son of Taigong is Qiu Mugong. Taigong sealed Qi, all in Yingqiu, and ordered his third son to keep Yingqiu, taking the fief as his surname and Qiu's, and died in Mu Gong, so Taigong Mu Gong was the ancestor of Qiu (Qiu). "Today, I respect Mu Gong as the ancestor of Qiu.
Second, it originated from Cao surname. According to Chinese surnames, Zhuan Xu, the descendant of the Yellow Emperor, Ng Wui, the descendant of Zhuan Xu, and the fifth son of Lu Zhong, the son of Wu Hui, are all surnamed Cao. In the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, Cao Weizhu (now southeast of Qufu, Shandong Province) was named as a descendant of Cao, and Zhu was made a vassal of Lu ... In the Spring and Autumn Period, Dr. Zhu was weak, followed by Qiu. Qiu [source] in China Surname Dictionary notes: "④ In the Spring and Autumn Period, there was Qiu's family after autumn was weak."
Third, change the surname from ancient ethnic minorities. The youngest son of the Yellow Emperor lives happily on Xianbei Mountain. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Tuoba, a Xianbei nationality, entered the Central Plains and established the Northern Wei regime. Wei Xiandi divided the people into seven parts, and his brother Dou Zhen converted to Qiu Dun's family and named him Huai Wang. After Emperor Xiaowen of Wei moved the capital to Luoyang, he changed Qiu Dunjia to Qiu Dunjia and merged into the Han nationality. Later, it developed into a branch of Qiu nobles in Henan Province, with Chou He and Qiu Xinggong as the most famous sons. At that time, the family (Xiongnu) who joined Luo was changed to Qiu, Lin and Qiao. In addition, the Wuhuan nationality in the Eastern Han Dynasty also had Qiu, and the Qiang nationality in the Western Qin Dynasty in the Sixteen Kingdoms period also had Qiu.
