What ancient garden books were there in Ming and Qing Dynasties?

There were many monographs on horticulture in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as Chrysanthemum Spectrum written by Jiao Hong in Qing Dynasty, in which zinnia was recorded, followed by Chrysanthemum Table compiled by Jiao Hong, and the list of zinnia was rated as second-class and sixth-class. This is one of many monographs on chrysanthemum.

Another example is the Flower Mirror by Chen Haozi, a gardener in Qing Dynasty, which is an important ancient gardening book in China. This book tells the planting methods and uses of various flowers. The publication of "Flower Mirror" laid the foundation of traditional ornamental horticulture botany in China.

China enjoys the reputation of a world-class "horticultural country" and "mother of gardens" because, as mentioned above, it has a long history, but it also has extremely rich horticultural plant germplasm resources that other countries can't match. The spread of many horticultural varieties in China in history is a proof. Tangerine, for example, was introduced into Japan from China in the12nd century, and then spread all over the world.
