Dong Zhongshu is a representative figure of Confucianism. What works does he have?

Dong Zhongshu's theory integrates Confucianism, metaphysics and politics. Adapting to the weather, geographical location and human harmony came into being.

Subjectively, he combined theory with politics in order to make Confucianism more acceptable to the rulers and give full play to the role of Confucianism, so as to realize the rule of the world.

However, his theory still cannot escape the fate of being used by the ruling class. The actual result is that it is more convenient for the ruling class to use Confucianism to imprison people's thoughts, solidify the class and strengthen its ruling position.

On the basis of Yang Gong Chunqiu Biography, Dong Zhongshu combined the religious view of heaven with the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements since the Zhou Dynasty, and drew lessons from the thoughts of Legalists, Taoists and Yin-Yang School, and established a new Confucian theological thought system, which became the official philosophy of the Han Dynasty and systematically answered a series of philosophical, political, social and historical questions of the society at that time, and became an important connection point for the development of Confucianism. Dong Zhongshu's works are numerous, among which Fan Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period and All Chinese are two volumes.

The so-called Confucian classics is to explain the articles in Chunqiu with the popular official script since Qin and Han Dynasties, which was first written by Dong Zhongshu. In addition to this kind of Confucian classics articles, Dong Zhongshu also sorted out articles on various occasions and other argumentative articles. According to the history books, he wrote 123 articles, but most of them have been lost by now, with more than 10 thousand words handed down from generation to generation. The Spring and Autumn Annals generally reflects Dong Zhongshu's thoughts, but he mixed a lot of theological contents in the book and carried out his theological views from beginning to end. I repeated my own statement about Yin and Yang.

Based on Confucianism, this paper expresses the improved thought of "benevolence and righteousness" in the story of Spring and Autumn Annals. Dong Zhongshu also integrated the idea of "harmony between man and nature" into the article. He said that kings can play a great role in heaven and earth, and the broad masses of "people" can also influence heaven. More importantly, he summed up the "four rights" and "three cardinal guides and five permanents" in his book, and thought that it was God's will for you to be a minister, your father to be your son, and your husband to be your wife.
