What is "Wei Qi Xue Ying"?

Syndrome differentiation of Wei-qi and Ying-blood is a syndrome differentiation method summarized in the Qing Dynasty on the basis of Neijing and Treatise on Febrile Diseases and according to the general law of the occurrence and development of exogenous fever.

The syndrome differentiation of Wei-qi and Ying-blood divides the clinical manifestations of exogenous fever into Wei-fen syndrome, Qi-fen syndrome, Ying-fen syndrome, Blood-fen syndrome and pericardium syndrome, which reflects the different syndrome types of exogenous fever at different stages and the dispute between evil and righteousness, and reveals the general law of exogenous fever from exterior to interior and from exterior to depth, thus providing basis for treatment. Syndrome differentiation of Wei-qi and Ying-blood makes up for the deficiency of syndrome differentiation of six meridians and enriches the methods of syndrome differentiation and treatment of exogenous fever.
