Which city is Yandou from?

Yan Dou, referring to present-day Beijing, was named after it was the capital of Yan State in ancient times. Among the Seven Heroes in the Warring States Period, Yan was named after its proximity to Yanshan Mountain, and its capital was called "Yan Dou". It will be used as another name for Beijing in some ancient books in the future.

Beijing, Xi, Nanjing and Luoyang are also known as the "four ancient capitals" of China, with six world heritages. It is the city with the largest number of cultural heritage projects in the world, with important international influence and one of the largest cities in the world.

The development of history

In the 800-year history of Yan State, there were five capitals.

In the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty (BC 1044), Yuyandi, Zhao Gong (now the site of Liu Lihe Town, Fangshan District, Beijing) was sealed, and Yan Di was the first fief of Yan State.

During the period of Yan Huanhou (698-69 BC1), Shanrong invaded south continuously, and Yan was forced to move its capital to Linyi (now Xiongxian and Rongcheng in Hebei).

In the twenty-seventh year (664 BC), Yan invited to defeat Shan Rong.

During the reign of Xiang Yan (657 BC), Shangdu Ji Cheng became the capital of Yan State.

In the late Spring and Autumn Period, the northern departments of Rongdi became stronger and stronger, forcing the Yan State to move abroad again.
