In the first year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (627), Xuanzang set out from Chang 'an and arrived in India via Central Asia to explore Buddhism. After studying in India for more than ten years, Zhenguan returned to Chang 'an in nineteen years. After returning to China, Xuanzang dictated the situation where he went according to the will of Emperor Taizong, and recorded it by a scripture debating machine that assisted in translating classics. The following year, he finished this book with more than 100,000 words.
