Tour of Former Residences of Celebrities
——Take you on a tour of Shanghai
Standing in the east of China, Shanghai is a vibrant, dynamic and charming city. city. It is not only a microcosm of China's modern history, but also a window for China's reform and opening up. It is like a huge magnet, attracting more and more tourists from home and abroad. There are also many former residences of celebrities in Shanghai, each with its own style. Take a "one-day tour of the former residences of celebrities" with me today!
We can take bus 139 to Shanyin Road and arrive at the former residence of the great writer and thinker Mr. Lu Xun. The former residence faces south and is a three-story building with a brick and wood structure. Inside the black iron gate is a small flower garden where oleanders, pomegranates, etc. are planted. The ground floor is a reception room with some furniture. The inner room is the dining room, which contains the Eight Immortals table, chairs, cupboards, etc. The large south-facing room on the second floor is the bedroom. There are basic furniture in the room, and the furnishings in all rooms highlight Lu Xun's distinct character of love and hate. The clock on the dressing table pointed to 5:25, recording the time when Lu Xun passed away. This moment seemed to be frozen in time.
After visiting Lu Xun’s former residence, we took bus 21 to Wuchang Road, transferred to bus 17 to Sinan Road, and visited the Zhou Mansion. Zhou Mansion was the office of the Communist Party of China delegation in Shanghai after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. It is dark gray on the first and third floors. The ground floor is the communication room and so on. There are two rooms on the first floor. The west room is the reception room; the east room is the bedroom and studio with simple interior decoration; the north room is the dining room. The east and west rooms on the second floor are bedrooms and studios for the main members of the delegation. To the north of the third floor is the room of Dong Biwu's family. There is a garden of about 220 square meters in front of the museum, planted with wisteria, lilac and other trees and flowers. There is also a small fountain, surrounded by black bamboo fences, with an elegant and pleasant environment. The entire Zhou Mansion is as simple, neat and generous as Premier Zhou's character.
Then we can eat some Shanghai specialty snacks nearby, then walk to the No. 24 bus station, get off at Xiangshan Road, and pay homage to Sun Yat-sen, the founder of the Republic of China. The former residence of Sun Yat-sen is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Sun Yat-sen and his wife Soong Qingling lived here from June 1918 to 1924. In front of the dark gray two-story building is a lawn. The interior is decorated according to its original appearance, simple and clean. Upstairs is the study, bedroom and guest room. The study is in the west room, and there are four treasures of the study on the desk. "Sun Literary Theory", "Industrial Plan" and "Initial Civil Rights" were written here. Hanging on the wall is a map drawn by Sun Yat-sen himself, showing the great talents and strategies of Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the country.
Dear friends, we visited the former residences of three celebrities in one day. Did you gain a deeper understanding of their lives?
