Later generations do not know much about his life. He was one of the first critics to write and annotate Long Shu's Zhong Lun. His notes were very popular in Central Asia, and were finally introduced to China from Kumarajiva. Kumarajiva's theory occupies a very important position in the Han Buddhism, because he translated the Notes on Mu Qing and Ode to Zhong Lun at the same time.
