Pollen, also known as pine yellow, is pure and dry pollen collected from my country’s native tree species Pinus Massoniana Lamb. and Pinus tabulaeformis Carr. Pine pollen is one of the only two types of pollen recorded in ancient medical books of the motherland. It is the only pollen species in the treasure house of medicine in the motherland that can be used both as food and medicine.
Pine pollen has been used as both medicine and food for thousands of years, and has been included in the modern Chinese Pharmacopoeia. More than 2,000 years ago, "Shen Nong's Materia Medica", the first pharmacopoeia in Chinese history, contained records about "pine yellow". Looking back, pine pollen has been consumed as a seasonal food for ancient Chinese people for a much longer period of time, and pine pollen is still used and added to some traditional foods. Ancient medical books claim that pine pollen is "sweet, warm and non-toxic" and has the functions of "moistening the heart and lungs, replenishing qi, dispelling wind and stopping bleeding, strengthening the appearance and improving the mind". A thousand years ago, the world's first pharmacopoeia promulgated by the state - "New Materia Medica" of the Tang Dynasty included it and recorded it in detail. Therefore, we can proudly say that it was the Chinese nation that first developed and applied pine pollen in the world.
